The KODAK DIGITAL SCIENCE Document Scanner 7520 is designed
with total productivity in mind. On-board image processing and
advanced document feeding technology mean that the first scan is
the only scan needed. That's what Perfect Page is all about-feed
a page in and get a perfect image back at full production speed.
With the Document Scanner 7520, you don't have to worry about
time-wasting rescans or additional processing in software.
You'll be able to cruise through daily scanning volumes up to
24,000 pages with ease. This update of a proven high-volume
platform combines image quality, productivity, reliability, and
affordability like never before.

Built-in image processing Capabilities provide more
throughput with less scanning
The Document Scanner 7520 comes packaged with a host of image
processing features. Adaptive Threshold Processing algorithms
help compensate for variations in document background and
character density for improved image quality without operator
intervention. The Document Image Manager detects skew and
corrects the images at production speeds. When you factor in
error diffusion capability, Contour Tracing (patent pending)
edge detection, and Kodak's advanced document feeding
technology, you've achieved Perfect Page-distinctive image
quality plus maximum productivity.

A proven foundation of reliability
Kodak is the market-leading manufacturer of production scanners,
in large part because of advanced document feeding technology.
The robust paper transport of the Document Scanner 7520 handles
an unsurpassed range of document sizes, thicknesses, and surface
quality to minimize stoppages and the need for exception
scanning. Advanced document feeding technology enables
mixed-document feeding, reducing document preparation and
operator time and labor costs.

And your scanning reliability will be backed by a worldwide
service and technical support network to help assure maximum
uptime and the most pages scanned per shift.

Productive scanning you can depend on
The Document Scanner 7520 scans up to 120 pages per minute (A4
letter-size, landscape mode, 200 dpi)-equivalent to 240 images
per minute in duplex mode. Simple controls, preprogrammed
function keys, and available accessories help operators become
efficient with little training. In a single pass, the Document
Scanner 7520 can scan the fronts and backs of documents, and
read bar codes and patches to reduce manual data entry, while
printing information such as time/date or sequence number.

Achieve Perfect Page Scanning with the KODAK DIGITAL
SCIENCE Document Scanner 7520.

Ergonomic location of controls, feeder, and output hopper
helps operators remain comfortable and productive for long
periods of time.
-
Simple control panel, 18 image processing modes, and
preset image processing templates provide an easy-to-use
interface for even occasional operators.
-
Semi-automatic feeder with self-centering feed guides and
convenient exit hopper maximize operator productivity.
-
Gap release lever accommodates exceptionally thick
documents, such as filled envelopes.
-
Short, J-path paper transport is highly reliable and
gentle on source documents.
-
Convenient doors provide easy access to the transport.
-
Automatic jam, skew, and overlap detection with audible
event messages enhance transport efficiency.

|
-
Computer-based diagnostics and modular design simplify
service to minimize downtime.
-
Dynamic adaptive thresholding enables uniform image
quality from intermixed documents to eliminate sorting and
reduce rescanning.
-
The Document Image Manager provides in-line image
processing at full scanner speeds. It detects and corrects
skewed images, and provides automatic cropping and border
reduction.
-
Comprehensive image processing algorithms optimize image
quality.
-
On-board image compression supports Group III and IV.
-
Selectable resolution from 70 to 300 dpi accommodates a
range of applications.
-
Supports industry-standard SCSI-2 interface.
|
 |
-
Automatic Document Feeder holds up to 300 sheets and
allows operators to load the scanner, start it, and let it
run while preparing the next batch.
-
Patch Reader 5000/7000 reads predefined patches on
documents to automatically maintain hierarchical document
and batch structure.
-
Bar Code Reader 5000/7000 recognizes data encoded on
documents for transfer to the host system as part of the
Image Header. Recognizes Code 3 of 9, Interleaved 2 of 5,
and Codabar; can read multiple codes per page.
-
Document Printer 1 prints information on scanned documents
for identification and tracking. Print front (pre-scan) or
rear (post-scan).
-
Footswitch allows hands-free operation for enhanced user
productivity.
-
Universal Console adds to utility and operator efficiency.
All Document Scanner 7520 accessories function at full
