Color capture enables the Scanner 3590C and Scanner 4500 to see the whole page. Virtually all the information on the page is captured: highlighting, variations in background densities and colors, hand-written annotations of every hue, routing stamps, etc. In many cases, color scanning file size is not much larger than equivalent black-and-white, so theres no performance sacrifice for routing and storing color on your network. during scanning for continuous feeding.

The Color Scanner 3590C features bi-chromodal imaging, a Kodak innovation. It scans the fronts of documents in color and the backs in black and white. It can also be set to scan the fronts in black and white. In addition, the Color Scanner 3590C is designed to shift between color and black and white scanning on the fly, making it ideal for batches with mixed documents. The Color Scanner 4500 is available as a color-only simplex or duplex scanner for capturing both sides of documents in color.

Pre-scan document imprinting is available on the Color Scanner 4500DP model to facilitate indexing, document tracking, and proof of scanning. An innovative technology extends the use of color scanning into forms processing applica-tions. Using ISIS or TWAIN drivers, dual stream (150 dpi color and 200 dpi bitonal images) output can be produced simultaneously.
