A completely self-contained document image storage and retrieval system

The Document Master Virtual Jukebox (VJB) is an ideal storage system for accessing scanned documents and images.  Designed to store CDs and DVDs and make your archived data accessible at hard drive speeds, the VJB allows almost instantaneous searching and retrieval of images even with databases containing tens of thousands of pages.

The Document Master VJB was specifically designed to simplify your environment, while extending the Virtual Jukebox’s flexibility and power. The Document Master VJB is configured so that you can store the database index on a specially allocated writable portion of its hard disk storage.

After installation, your data base index and annotations are stored in this part of the Document Master while your file images are stored on the non-writable portions of its hard drives.

The entire system - software, hardware, data and indexes - are all integrated within the Document Master and are completely independent from your network.

Features of the Document Master:

·       Management of all aspects of your Index image database is done through a single set of management screens.

·       No application software, data base indexes, annotations or image data are stored on your network server’s hard disk.

·       The network server is not accessed or impacted by any data base search and access activity other than the actual data traffic.

·       Completely pre-configured. Just set the IP address on the control panel, and a few other installation specific parameters and you can start storing CDs and accessing document.

Advantages and Specifications

Now you can access all of your CDs and DVDs at hard disk speeds over the network with the Document Master.  After loading the CD or DVD, it can be locked up in a secure place on or off-site for back-up and disaster control.  The network connection is simple - just one RJ-45 cable from your hub or router to the Document Master.  The network remains up with no interruption to the users.

Document Master advantages over conventional Jukeboxes:

·       Multiple simultaneous users with faster access to data.

·       Media is returned after being loaded into the Jukebox to be stored away for safe-keeping.

·       Separately managed writable storage and cached CD storage.

·       Optional fault tolerant RAID protection.  If a hard drive should fail no data will be lost and the Document Master will keep on running.

·       Optional CD-R/RW for simultaneous CD creation and caching.
